Kat-Patum: Humans is the first part of the role-playing game Kat-Patum, a fantasy game set in medieval times. In it you will play a human who seeks to make a life on a planet full of ferocious beasts, huge monsters and imposing Great Entities. During your travels you will have to find food and deal with your emotions to survive.

Kat-Patum presents a friendly, fresh and simple visual style, making it a role-playing game suitable for all types of audiences. During your adventures through this world, you will have the possibility to travel to one of the human cities or face the wild nature, escaping from the beasts or monsters that surround you.

The Classes

Kat-Patum has 20 different classes at your disposal that can be combined in any number of ways. Some combinations make the games easier, while others can make them much more complicated.

Each class has all the characteristics of the characters, but in addition each has a unique ultimate ability that will bring different benefits at specific times.

How will you combine your classes? This is where you will be able to enjoy quieter or more difficult games when it comes to surviving an adventure. But you can also use any of the items included in the rules, as long as you can find them.

Universe

Kat-Patum is a flat planet that travels through the Stellar Sea. As the planet moves through the vast galaxy its two suns orbit around it, giving light to its inhabitants. But the giant tree at its centre provides the planet with an ozone layer and some darkness at certain times of the day, allowing species to rest.

Although humans have tried to investigate, they do not know what lies beyond their planet. Moreover, the infernal, ship-destroying currents of hell have not allowed them to know what lies beyond the vast sea.

As the planet drifts through space, beasts prey on animals and humans alike. Angry with the latter, they seek to wipe out the humans, who have deforested and destroyed several of their homes.

They no longer have as many safe places to hide from the monsters, giant nomads that roam Kat-Patum in search of food. And though they are feared by the beasts, their sheer size often takes its toll.

And that is because the Great Entities devour any species they can find. When they are hungry, these terrible beings come out of their dens and hiding places to feast on many species.

Nowadays, humans have several cities in which they take refuge and live. Often these cities are attacked by groups of beasts that try to undermine humanity's population advancement. However, weaponry and magic often work in favour of the humans, who defend their homes with tenacity.

But far from these dangers, there is no greater danger than that of having different ideas and opinions, and although it often enriches others it provokes conflict. Two of the five factions have a conflict that has been unresolved for a long time. While the Protectors defend their cities from sieges to avoid provoking a war, the Devotees deplete their resources, raid their fields and lay siege to their cities.
